Cellulose Insulation

Using cellulose insulation is a very effective, safe and environmentally friendly way, how to insulate your home. Cellulose insulation is made form 80% post-consumer recycled materials, mostly from recycled wood fiber (newspapers). The manufacturing process uses 1/5 the energy required to make fiberglass and generates 1/5 the carbon monoxide. Thus, cellulose insulation is very environmentally friendly. In addition, cellulose insulation is a healthy choice. Cellulose is nontoxic, non-corrosive, dust free and it doesn't itch. It eliminates irritating, abrasive, airborne glass fiber particles, providing you with peace of mind regarding your indoor air quality. It contains no formaldehyde, no asbestos, and no fiberglass.                                                                                                          As already mentioned, cellulose insulation is also considered to be a very effective insulation material. It is sprayed or blown into the walls conforming to your home to completely fill walls and seal every crack and seam, creating a monolithic thermal barrier and reducing your utility costs. But this is not all, cellulose insulation has also many other good qualities. Firstly, cellulose makes homes safer by providing up to 50% better fire resistance than other insulation materials like fiberglass. Cellulose is the only building material in your home that is always treated with fire retardants. Secondly, cellulose insulation is superior sound control insulation. Conventional insulation often leaves voids in walls making it easier for sound to travel. The density of cellulose insulation regulates the movement of sound providing a quiet work and living environment. Thirdly, cellulose insulation is strong enough to protect your home from pest infestations, but is harmless to humans and pets. In fact, it is proven to be 99.7% effective against cockroaches and targeted pests. And finally, cellulose insulation helps prevent growth from fungi.
