Mineral Wool Insulation
Home insulation may involve the installation of one or different insulation materials. Mineral wool insulation is one technique of insulation that has proven to be highly beneficial in many ways. More precisely, it can be used entirely by itself in home insulation or may be combined with other insulation materials. Mineral wool insulation products play a significant energy-savings role by reducing energy use in homes, office buildings, businesses and manufacturing plants.                                 Mineral wool or rock wool, as it is commonly known, is manufactured from steel slag. This slag is what is left over after steel is produced and contains dirt and limestone. It is mixed with other chemicals and heated together. The fibrous material that is produced is spun to form mineral wool. The entire process gives the material excellent insulation properties and makes it ideal for use in both residential and commercial applications in different forms.                                                          The benefits of using mineral wool insulation are that it is water and fire resistant. This material is also considered to be extremely durable and quite easily installed. In addition, mineral wool resists mold and mildew and is not known to rot or melt. Also, because it does not absorb moisture, it is an excellent insulation material.
