Loose-fill rock wool, also known as slag wool, is very similar to fiberglass loose-fill insulation as described our site, but rock wool is spun form blast furnace slag and also there maybe other stone materials, not melted glass as in case if fiberglass loose-fill insulation batts.

Like fiberglass insulation, rock wool insulation comes in batts or rolls and there are no special requirements for installation and no special tools. It may install also to very difficult spaces. They have standard measures and that’s why you can install rock wool between wooden or metal studs with no worry.
