Cement Insulations

Description and Application
FBX 1900 Cement is a dry blend of mineral fibers and inorganic binders applied by trowel or hand directly to the surface to be insulated. Once dried additional layers may be applied to achieve the desired thickness. When insulating over large surfaces or when applying more than one layer, it is recommended that metal reinforcement suitably fastened be used. In many instances, FBX 1900 Cement may be used in patch and repair work while equipment is in operation.Weatherproofing is required for out-door application. FBX 1900 Cement contains an effective rust inhibitor and is non-corrosive.

Recommended for continuous service at temperatures through 1900 ºF.

Specification Compliance
Non-combustible per ASTM E 136. Non-corrosive. Manufactured to ASTM C795 and MIL-I-24244 if requested. Meets or exceeds ASTM C 195. Linear shrinkage is 3% (maximum) after soaking for 24 hours at 1900 ºF. Dry coverage is 30 square feet (minimum) per 100 lbs. at 1" thickness.

Description and Application
FBX Superkote Cement is a dry blend of mineral fibers, clays and hydraulic setting binder. It can be trowelled to a smooth, hard, white surface that will not show drying or shrinkage cracks and that can be painted without further treatment. It can used as a surface layer over insulating blocks, on blankets or wherever irregular surfaces require a smooth coat.
