FBX Industrial Board Insulations

Basalt Insulation in rigid and semi-rigid board form available in nominal densities ranging from 4 to 12lb./cu. ft.  Industrial Board provides superior performance for boilers, precipitators, ducts and mechanical equipment operating at temperatures from subambient to 1,200°F (649°C).  It fabricates easily and cleanly with a knife.   All Fibrex Basalt Insulation products are derived from basaltic rock produced by volcanic activity.

Features Benefits
- Superior Thermal Conductivity - Maximum prevention of heat loss
- Wide range of service temperatures - Continuous service, subambient to 1,200°F (649°C)
- Low in-service shrinkage; 0% @ 1,050°F (551°C) - Less potential for gaps forming at joints from elevated operating temperatures
- Lightweight - Saves installation time and cost
- Applicator friendly - Less irritating
- Good compressive strength - Less jacket damage
- Non-wicking - Allows temporary outdoor storage and jobsite
- Easy to fabricate - Cuts easily with a knife; no sawing required
- Less dusty - Cleaner to handle; minimizes cleanup time and expense
